We are so happy with our dog! He’s in excellent health, is super loving, is highly intelligent, and just a sweet sweet boy.
Working with Jaynie was the best experience. She provided regular updates before we brought our puppy home, and at pickup she provided all of the appropriate documentation and other helpful items and tips to get us off to a good start. Everything was super easy, exactly as promised, with no surprises. The process was seamless.
I’ve never had a litter box trained dog before, but OMG it’s the best. Not only is it helpful in the puppy phase, but on rainy days where a dog runs outside to pee and then comes right back in still needing to poop, it’s extremely helpful. I’d rather do a quick scoop of the litter box than spend a half hour cleaning up an accident. And with the feline pine litter that Jaynie recommended, the only smell is fresh pine. It’s amazing.
It’s obvious that our dog received tons of love and nurturing from his mama dog as well as from Rick and Jaynie before he came to us. He connects so well with humans. He happily plays dress up and roughhouses with my children, but also regularly seeks out lap time and affection from us. He has a strong desire to please and is very trainable. Everyone loves him. Even the staff at our vet regularly comment about how special he is!
I would definitely purchase from Rick and Jaynie again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Rat Terrier pup. They are so knowledgeable about the breed and they truly care about their puppies. Their health screenings prior to breeding have given me peace of mind about avoiding serious genetic conditions. I appreciated that they cared more about the goodness of fit with our family than just simply placing the puppy with a paying customer. They are professional, trustworthy, and clearly love and nurture each of their puppies. We are not planning to show him, but with his lineage, features, and temperament he could be a real winner. Whether as a family dog or a show dog, if a Rat Terrier is the one for you, these are your breeders.

Abbey is an AKC Grand Champion Rat Terrier. Abbey’s parents are both Grand Champions. Many other Champions and Grand Champion both AKC and UKC are in her lines. Abbey is a blue piebald (white and blue). Abbey has been genetically tested for PLL, PRA-PRCD, DM, and the coat length gene and is clear for all of these. Rat Terriers are intelligent, easy to train, high energy, loving companions.

After raising our kids we decided to try the RV lifestyle. 15 years later we are still enjoying it. We went looking for a breed to fit with our lifestyle. Rat Terriers fit the bill. Intelligent, easy to train, small but not too small with a low maintenance coat and great personality. Boating , camping, travel Abbey is ready to go.

Socialization, our puppies are raised with close supervision using the Puppy Culture method.
These puppies will be litter box started when you pick them up.
These puppies will be up to date with all shots and worming.
All puppies will be microchipped.
Our puppies have a lifetime return policy if you are no longer able to care for your puppy/dog.
Although we have Grand Championed Abbey please understand she is first our little buddy. She travels with us, sleeps with us and entertains us daily.
